Ok, before I get slammed, the body is not a mopar. However, the car was originally built with the Mach 1 body, so I had this new built from an original to replace the destoryed original. However, to keep it mopar, the power plant is, of course, a blown HEMI! Here are a couple of picture of the new body on the chassis. Please over look the messy garage! Just thought I'd share this with you guys. To keep it mopar, the power plant with a little dust, buffer and extention cord!

I'm sure you probably could have found a 71-2 sat or charger body that would have fit.
Either way I'm just flat out jelous

Are you gonna drive it??
No that is not in the plans. The car has some historical significance. But who knows. I can legally be certified to do partial passes with everything being original, such as Garlits does. I am restoring the car back to the original state. The only thing on the car that will not be original, as last ran, is the body and headers. The original Mach 1 body was destroyed at Bristal, TN the last time the car was ran in the mid 70's. I got one of the headers the other was missing. Everything else was ran on the car, tires included.

didnt that have a monza or vega body when you got it?
Ray, yes it did. that was a new body that has never been down the track. They never finished mounting it. I still have the body. It is in my spare trailer (the one you and Eddie used for the hot rod race) out of the way.
Mike, when ever you are ready, just let me know!
Rick
