BradH OP Taking time off to work on my car B Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 15,439 Val-haul-ass... eventually	Can anyone tell me the size of the RB block cam freeze plug that goes into the back of block between the screw-in oil galley plugs? My machinist and I must have had a small communication breakdown when I asked him to leave out the oil galley plugs, 'cuz I realized while washing the block that the cam plug wasn't installed, either. It'll be easier to stop by the parts store that's 5 minutes down the road than make a trip back to the machine shop, if someone can tell me the correct dimension for the missing plug. Thanks.

Challenger 1 Too Many Posts Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 28,312 Cincinnati, Ohio	I have SB cam plug here in front of me that says 1 7/8" on it. I don't have a BB here to check. I do have 2 KB hemis sitting here that have 2 9/64" cam plugs in them. I have no idea if there the same as a iron BB.

HPMike master H Joined: May 2005 Posts: 6,446 NJ-USA	Brad, it's 2-1/8"(the 2-9/64" will work as well). Not likely to find at any auto parts or hardware store. I prefer the more "cupped" variety over the shallower ones, but I have seen them both ways and either will work.. MB

The parts store said they would no longer carry them and he was not sure if Dorman still made them. He had 8 in a box so I bought them all.
