I am rebuilding a 383 that had never been apart.Do I need to replace the head bolts? The rebuild will be stock and the car is just a cruiser if that matters.

I'd use them again. They rarely break or fail to clamp well.

What buildanother said, light hand wire brush em clean/solvent clean/blow dry/like any part a visual check but rarely a prob there. I lube the threads w 30 wt eng oil then blow it off w shop air. Leaves a VERY LIGHT film of lube
