Ok, later today I'll post up pictures of my dyno run, but I would be interested in hearing all of your guy's theories on why this happened?

My 440 made great power up until 5000 or so where the power curve really leveled off, and maintained up too 6000. I'm just kind of suprised based on the characteristics of the cam that it leveled off and didn't continue to build

I updated the fuel system went to a big carter street/strip pump
Cam XE 268
440source aluminum heads
770 street avenger carb
Holley Dominator intake
shorty style hedman 13/4 headers

doesn't really surprise me. It isn't much of a cam for high RPM's. I would have thought 5500-5800 peak though.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

Here is the dyno sheet.

The colored Blue line is Torque and the Colored redline is HP, after the first run. The dotted line that follows closely is the new run after headers uncorked.

Top HP was 327 and 421 Ft/LBS after uncorking the headers.

Here is the run on the dyno! I'msorry this things me giggle everytime I hear it.

Peak at or just above 5k, and falling off by 6k seems right to me for that combo.

BB Mopar wedge motors need better heads to make more power and to extend the power range, both torque and horsepower I would (and do)lean it down for more power
