A47 OP enthusiast A Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 384 under the hood	his guys whats involved to replace the lower bearing , what needs to de done ? can you take the coupler off that way or have to dismantle the whole lot ! thanks for any advice

gtx6970 Too Many Posts Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 21,442 It's a dry heat	The only way to do it without dis-assembling the column is take the lower coupler of the shaft and remove the cross pin from the main shaft. Then you can take the lower bearing support out. Provided it's a floor shift. Column shift cars the shift tube has to come out which requires complete dis-assembly
