Had my frame connectors welded on today #812111

Just heavy wall 2x2 box tubing and not welded to the floor pan. But it stiffened up the feel and ride real nice. Originally a 6cyl car so it didn't have any torque boxes either.

My local muffler shop welded them on for $50 on a drive on lift.

Now what job will be next? Maybe upper door gaskets as they're about shot.

Looks nice, do you have a pic of other end?
How did you form the curve?

Bought them on Ebay for $90. Here's the front pic. I know weld into floor pan connectors are better but these really did tighten the feel of a 40 yr old car and reduced road/body noise also.

Frame ties were probably one of the best upgrades I did to the car. Handling and driving difference were almost night and day. They even made a handy spot to bolt the drive shaft safety loop in place.
