I bought another Rampage today for some parts but its
nicer than mine... I was giving it thought about cutting
up the parts one but I'll stick with the original
one and just pull the parts I need... glad to be
back so I can get back to work on it... got to set
the engine back in to check a few mock up points on
the steering... I did quite a few drawings of different
things on it while on vacation

btt this is an intresting build for sure:) just a noviceQuestion since i never built a complete car from basicly nothing, why taking the engine in and out for mockup, when you could just leave it in its mounts leving it in lace would seem like a much easier way

hey i know all about that part about making drawing when being away all the best ideas are always on my mind when im not even close to the car

There isnt any mounts in the car at this time... I
need to check so steering clearance on the rack to
see if it will clear the front of the crank and pulley
plus the engine just gets in the way

I got the front end just about done(still need to weld)
but it looks pretty decent and I checked all the
movements and everything looks good... I started to
do some welding today but I need to cut 1 more tube
and get it into place before I can burn it together
on the front.... but I ordered up a couple more hole
saws and they wont be here till Monday

Sean... dont worry about it... I'll spend tomorrow
cleaning in the shop... a bomb went off in there...
the other day I spent about 5 hours working on my
bothers VW heads.., doing some mill work on them...
but first I had to tram in the head(had it off for
repairs)... so I need to clean out there... so that
will be tomorrows job

last... I was just seeing if I wanted it lower or
not today so I can set the rear height... I still
have a oil pan and trans pan that are some what low
and still need exhaust under it... I believe if I
can keep the exhaust up tight I can have 4" of clearance
