85 318 in a 72 dart,thanks for the info on removing weights on tc,i got em off.BIG BIG problem now.motor was running n timed great b4.had frontend up on stands too remove tc weights.runs like sh%t now.carb over loaded,black smoke,thick, it wont idle down revs up by itself and runs on after shut down????? help please.it has a demon 650 vac 2ndaries.rear float was way out off wack,adjusted it back. thanks jim

try to look into the carb as it idles and see if gas is running into it . you might have the float levels too high also you might check for a blown out power valve.
