What are the stock mufflers on those? Can you purchase them new or USED ?
Will they fit under a 65 b-body?
Anyone in DFW do an exhaust upgrade and keep the old mufflers?

They seem pretty massive from what I've read, and I bet there are folks on the LX Forums that are giving them away... The system isn't bad for size, but I don't think they flow super well. HP gains from system swaps don't seem to be very high for the money spent.

wasn't looking for performance gains.
Just hoping to get some ideas on quite exhaust.
I keep reading about how people change them out because they can't hear their cars run.
They have to breath a bit for the hemi, so I figure it would be a good way to go for my swap.

I'd just get some regular turbo mufflers from summit or jegs, they are fairly quite and flow pretty well.

I have Jegs turbo mufflers on my RR and it is very quite just a slight rumble.

The center mufflers on an LX car are about as big as a suitcase hence the nickname, it's actually 2 mufflers in 1 case, the way it's designed you would have to mount it under the trunk floor, it wouldn't fit in a car with a solid axle in the normal location.

The rear resonators are kinda form fitted to the floor and wrap up around the side of the car a bit.

The center muffler is 2.25" in and out the resonators are 2.25 in with tips welded on the rear.

If it were me I'd use a long case dynomax turbo, it should fit fine and be quiet.
