My old '62 Savoy was 3077# with my 200# butt in it. It had complete 2X3 frame with original front clip, 12 point cage with strut mounted shocks, aluminum floor, 'glass seat, hood, deck lid, bumpers, and lexan windows. No wiring, sound deadner, etc. 451" all steel, 8-3/4 w/727, ladder bars c/o. I can't think of anything I could have done to get it any lighter and still stay in one piece.

These 3600+ weights are not what I want to hear. Debating what I want to do with my motor if my chassis sells as a roller. Thoughts of making it pump gas friendly and still hitting it with a healthy shot to run 8.50 index might not happen in a 3500+ lb B body.
OK how's this then........
Mine is gutted W/ a full cage that just certed to 8.50. Eddy headed 440 W a 727. All steal save the hood and decklid. Factory floor and firewall but it is backhalved for the 4 link.
Weighs 2820 #'s with out me in it.

No back half, I want stock suspension, 10.5W max tire size. I already have a full chassis, full factory glass, all steel body with a round tube chassis. Weighs 3000# with me in it. I want to get back to street car, pump gas but still be able to run it in 10.oh class or 8.50 on the hose. My chassis would make a deadly bracket car but not allowed in the index classes I could afford to race in. I guess I could always put my motor in a mustang <ducks and runs for cover >
