Starting on my steering column rebuild. I've seen several posts but want to make sure 1 last time I'm doing this correctly. Other than the 2 brackets that I have arrows pointing to (those should be gloss black), the other "black painted" items should be finished in the same paint as the dash. Correct?

Thanks, Joe

Replying to I can follow this thread. I can see some of the existing red paint on my old column, but still interested in the disassembly and restore project. I'm doing the same thing right now.

Yes, column and dash, same textured paint. Firewall bracket and mount bracket gloss black.

Just wanted to make sure since I'm going to work on this stuff tomorrow.

Thanks, Joe
