383 + 440 = natural
Hemi = painted

Really Bill?.. dang !!!! Is that because the jabbed the tube in when they went to install the motor mount brackets on the block and the tube shares one of the bolts? I knew the hemi was. (As you probably know I'm putting together mine with parts I got from you)..

Thanks...

PS: Everyone, Bill has been super during my hemi's restoration.

Does this apply to both the oil and tranny? I think the tubes are both raw, the oil dipstick is dipped in engine color, but not sure about the tranny dipstick. I'm building a 70 440 6-pk Auto Challenger.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the trans dipstick and tube were phosphate plated
