I've seen the vent wing assemblies advertised with different pivot points, some hi and some low. Is there a difference based on the year?

Thanks in advance!

On all 66-70 B body convertibles the vent window frame is two inches taller than the non convert models..One could be C body as well, dont know too much on C bodies, but take a measurement to be sure..

Thanks!!! It's the actual glass piece itself and where the upper pivot attaches. I know the assemblies are different but that whole glass thing and where it attaches has me scratching my head. Thanks again!

IIRC, the 68-70B conv vent frame/glass/windshield are interchangeable with the 66-67B 2 door hardtops. That would suggest to me the 66-67B hardtops and conv have the same vent frame/glass. Partsbook would confirm.

The 68-70B hardtop vent frames are taller as noted and have different glass pivot parts (and glass holes) than the verts. I believe the 68-70B 4 door vent glass will interchange with the convertible. Pic is pivot for 68-70B conv.

Caveat: This is something I read many years ago and I can not remember the source. I do think it is at least somewhat true.

When the 68 B bodys were designed the 2drs and 4drs were given mostly new (and lower) greenhouses but the wagons and convertibles continued to use the 66-67 greenhouses. This was done because the lower volume convertibles and wagons could not justify the tooling cost.

I have owned a 68 Coronet 500 convertible and 440 wagon for many years and have many times used pieces from 66-67 B's when parts off of 68-70 2drs/4drs would not work.

Thanks!! That's great info and I'll have to get some parts and compare.

The 68-70 are b-body only and are prone to breaking. It took me a year of swap meets and searching ebay to find a set for sale. I don't know how many doors I looked at that were missing the wing window frame. The 66-67 B-bodies are also the same for all 67 and newer A bodies.

My concern is mine are in pieces. I have no idea what parts should be there to put them back together. If I could find a set (just missed a pair on here) I'd but them and the ones I have would be spares. Anyone have a picture that shows one apart and what pieces should be there?

Thanks!
