I was out in my cuda this evening when it suddenly shut off on me while going down the road. After the car stopped it fired back up with no problem when I tried to start it. As soon as I put it in gear it died again. This time when I tried to start it, it would hit off immediatly then die. Finally it fired off again and made the 10 minute drive home without problem. Any ideas what this would be? Maybe a short in the wiring?

Bulkhead connector would be a good place to start looking.

For me it was the ECU box. I have an FBO setup. And the Box was the culprit.

It would cut out at almost anytime anywhere and I could start it up again in anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. It was scarry when it happend.

As soon as I changed the box it never happened again.

Here is another post that someone had on the same subject.

Have that same problem with my Charger.
Bumped it with my foot and the car shut off.

Try running it and wiggle wires there and on the bulkhead connector and see what happens
