I know people don't like to spend the extra money, but I've been running Redline's synthetic "Racing" (Type F) fluid w/ really good results, even after thousands of miles of street use w/ a 4000+ converter. I want something that can take the heat w/o breaking down as fast as non-synthetic fluid.

The best I have found to use is John Deere Hy-gaurd or Case-HyTran Ultra Tractor Fluid They are still allowed to have additives in their fluids to control heat and heavy duty use. Must be name brand fluid. Works great even with trans-brake
Switched to the dark side...

Money well spent IMO.

A lot of real high powered cars are going this way. We haven't tried it yet but may some day. It will reduce converter slippage 1-3 percent.
