One Fun Ride

A few years back I started the restoration of a close personal friends 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.

The plan is to make it a triple black, dual quad cross ram Hemi, with TKO 600, Alterkation, Strange 60, Wilwood discs, Foose wheels...Lets get started.

We took the car to Redi-Strip Tempe and had the shell dipped.

We sand the metal down to shiny finish and give the metal a tooth for the epoxy primer to stick to.

Redi-Strip damaged the roof structure and the vinyl top destroyed the roof skin.

Couple small rust spots in the right quarter panel welded up and filled.

Replacing the factory lead and lead filling a couple dents in the lower right quarter and rocker.

I started making videos rather than photos somewhere along the way.

The First Bodywork Etc...

In this video we get the quarter panel off the car.

Time to weld the AMD panel on the Road Runner.

Little metal work getting ready for lead

Bodywork on the right Quarter

Bodywork and Primer on the right side.

Bodywork Down the Left Side.

Bodywork continues

Fixin' the side marker in the AMD

Primer, New Parts, and The Rotiss.

XV Motorsports Sub-frame Connectors And second Compilation.

Second Road Runner Compilation

The Fabricator just Completed this Shaker Assembly for The Cross-Ram Dual Quad

This shaker assembly came out very nice a perfect fit.

Looking forward to finishing up the few remaining body fitment issues and blocking this thing out for paint.

A couple cool interior details. [Re: jamesfreddys] #797392

Getting ready to get back at our bird's paint and body but we are finalizing a few details as we go. Starting off with a set off 2010 SRT-8 Challenger seats (2-door with fold forward backs) with the Road Runner embroidered into the seat backs.

He had the front and back seats done. Then the Road Runner engraved billet steering wheel.

We would like to finish fitting all the panels, bumpers and etc... soon while it sits on it's suspension. Then we can pull the car apart and start getting dirty again with the block sanding in preparation for paint.
