I was at a show yesterday and at least four Mopars that had been changed from points ignitions to electronic were using the older style two prong resistors. I always thought that the electronic style required the four prong to function. One owner that had a really nice '70 GTX had the orange module with the two prong resistor. He told me that that resistor came with the module when he bought it. Thanks for any info here.

If I'm not mistaken the four prong is for a 5 pin ecu and the two prong is for a 4 pin ecu.

The OE 5 pin ECU's require a 4 terminal ballast (the long side opposite the side that has the brown wire on one end goes to the 5th pin in the ECU for starting). 4 pin ECU's either parts house replacement ones and the orange/chrome ones use a 2 terminal ballast and the start/run side of these 4 pin ECU's are fed the same (not talking about the start/run sides of the coil pri which are different circuits).
