Wife started up her 00 Jeep GC and it sounds like there's a vacuum leak. It changes in sound when you apply the breaks. I looked all over for the leak, sounds like it is coming from around the throttle body. Anybody know where these things tend to pop before I start to pull it apart. Engine still runs good, brakes are like a low comp 509 cammed car, one good pedal then soft.

remove the idle air plunger from the throttle body--two Torx screws--clean the carbon off the plunger and the seat inside--might just do the trick only take 5 minutes

I hope it's not the booster. but you can hear the hiss by the brake pedal.... but when you check outside in the engine bay the sound is loudest by the TB.

ok that was dirty cleaned..not it. It does sound like the booster is bad. So how many hours does that pay? I guess I can do it but if it's only like an hour I'll pay a shop.
