Thanks to Jughed, who is selling me his set of 440 Source covers at a very reasonable price. I borrowed the same covers from a friend to check fitment, and although they still come in contact with the top edge of the rockers, it looks as if I will be able to file on the inside lip to correct that problem.

This must only be an issue w/ the stage VI heads?

I've had Harland Sharp rockers on factory iron heads, Edelbrock heads, and Indy SR heads and had no clearance issues w/ MP, Moroso, or Indy valve covers.

You gotta be kiddin' !! HS's are quite likely the best on the market next to T&D's. What's not to like ?!?!?

Is there any interference with an MSD distributor? 440 Source told me there might be

What's a little more at this point. If I need to, I will find a smaller distributor

Ive used several different kinds of valve covers on stage 6 heads with a msd dist. The only time I had trim for fit, was with the m.p. valve covers.....

If you use ricks dist you wont have to clear any thing. On my 440 with indy ez heads there was no way in heck a 440 source billet dist would clear. unless i wanted to cut the crap out of my heads. which i did not so i bought Ricks new dist and everything fits great now. here is some pics that will show you what i am talking about. thanks Mopar65

As I stated in another rocker-related thread: "They're heavy, they're bulky (and not where it would make the rockers better, either), they're too long for decent geometry w/ many applications, the balls of the last sets of adjusting screws I saw from them looked like they were machined by somebody w/a wood rasp, instead of a lathe. They do seem to be a good fit for Indy heads, though."

I like the shafts and the hold-downs. The rockers haven't changed since the 1980s and could stand the benefit of a modern redesign, IMO. Plenty of people are totally sold on them. I'm not.

old school Moroso's. They are taller, I'm running 1.5 rollers and zippy issues.

I have a set of those Cal Custom covers. I have been using these aluminum Moroso's with Harland Sharp rockers/906 heads, for several years, only because they matched the paint...Nice wiring too!
