I have a 70 Challenger that has the 2 piece drip rails. I was wondering what everyone uses for the foam seals that go under them. I found a place on E-bay that sells this for $25 shipped.
This kit consists of 4 rolls of material for each side of the car
- (2) rolls of 1/8"x7/8" black poly foam to seal between the weatherstrip channel and the roof,
- (2) rolls of 1/16"x3/4" dark gray soft foam with adhesive to seal the weatherstrip channel to the drip rail.
Is this what everyone uses or isn't it necessary?
Are there any better places to buy them?
Could I just use some seam sealer for this area?
As always thanks for any help you can give me.

Black epoxy would work well or some roofing tar

I've seen the craziest stuff used for gaskets/sealer

Got mine from James at the Nat's.(71TA) I'm not sure if it's listed on his site though.

Save some money and use home foam insulation tape. You can find the exact size, thickness, material at lowes/home depo. Works beautifully.
