power steering to manual steering #792000

i have a 74 duster 360 that currently has power steering and i want to make it manual steering. is there anything more than just the gear box that needs to be changed? i have a manual steering gear box already just wondering if there was more to it. also i would like elimanate the brake booster what all is required to do so. thanks everyone.

You will need a Manual Steering Column or an Adapter. The Power Box is longer than a Manual Box and the shaft coupler is also different.

Or cut and splice the shaft 3" longer. ( I think it's 3"). Make sure you index it.

There are 2 adapters, OEM used on Dodge vans and one from Firm Feel. Easiest way is to use the adapter from Firm Feel. It lets you use the power shaft coupler where the OEM van adapter reqires the use of a manual shaft coupler.
Cheapest way is weld in a 3" extension as posted above.
Also check the worm shaft size. Make sure the pitman arm off your power box will change over to the manual box you have, if not, you'll need a '73-up Abody manual steering pitman arm.
