Yep thats the car. I don't remember a white interior though. I think it was tan or black, if memory serves. Car needs restored, but is driveable as is.

I just sent John, a pic of the T5 bronze car that i was refering to. if you need others to see if it is the same car, i have 1 other picture of the car as well. If this gentelman is the same guy, and he now has a red/red Daytona, then i'll give him a call.

On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

He traded the 'tona for the 500. but I'm sure he has contact info for the new Daytona owner.

O.K. Here we go again. Like I was saying, these pics are from when Dad and Uncle John went to Indy for the Wing Car Meet. One of the Yellow Birds was my uncles, but I'm not sure which. There were more pics than this, but these are the only 2 that really scanned well.

Oct 83 hemming page in this attachment had Danny Liebrandt dads 69 red hemi charger 500 Pete Haldiman car seen in automotive quarterly listed on bottom right side of the page.theres also a green on green hemi 69 charger 500 also from Indiana but different number I also saw a ad for auto F6 green daytona from same number in Indiana.

HOLY SMOKES!!! I know that car!!! Dewayne must have sold that car to Dave Jones who brought it to the 1984 Mopar Nationals in Indy and sold it to Danny Jennings who lives just down the road from me! Danny still has the car 20 years later and still occasionally cruises Telegraph Road with it. It is still wearing that same "$3,000 lacquer paint job" but the rear window plug is starting to get a little rough. Sure is a small world when it comes to these cars!

No the car with the $3,000 laquer paint job was the green Hemi 500 that Dave Jones had. My dad was selling the Red car with the black vinyl top. The car dave jones had was the one for sale for $12,000, my dad's was for $9,000.
I have some pics of Dave's green 500 if that is the car your thinking of. My dad only had the red vinyl top 500, and the Q5 500.

On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

OK, my bad here. I guess Dave Jones didn't buy the green Hemi 500 from Dewayne. He just had it for sale for a long time and they were both in the Indy area so I had it all confused a little bit! By the way, the issue of Automobile Quarterly with Dewayne's Hemi Charger 500 in it is an awesome issue. I remember thinking how cool it was seeing a Charger 500 with a vinyl top!

I have every hemmngs here from 1973 .Dave Jones has advertisted 691/2 lift off cars yellow 4 speed 70 RT charger and a Red 440 4 speed daytona with black interior all from 317-542-7805 March June 81. And later from 317- 862-4425 a 70 lime green hemi coronet RT and a F6 Daytona automatic car rebuilt engine new F6 green paint.Dewayne and Dave Jones knew each other and both lived in Indiana.They must have bought and sold to and from with each other .As we seen a unpainted F6 daytona in Dannys L dad picture collection in the driveway

Dave, way cool on the Hemmings collection. I have one that's ALMOST that complete! Anyways, yeah, ol' Davey Jones has had a heap of rare cars over the years. As I hear tell though, him and Dewayne had a falling out. Also, I believe the lime green '70 Hemi Coronet R/T was bought by Indiana Pacers basketball star Rik Smits who also still owns a white Superbird and who showed up at the wing meet in Indy in 2002. Rik is a way cool guy who loves Mopars.

Garry, I ain't even gotten into my photo albums yet!
