What kind of intake did they use in the early 1970'ths Pro Sock hemis? I'm building a retro 426 hemi and want it to be a prostock copy. I have an old set of 1050 Dominators that was on an old Dick Landy hemi that was sold to europe in 1975. But I have no intake. Thanks

Some of mine are just like that and I think there is an Offenhouser with larger plenum.I will look at them tommarrow, there is also a bunch of rat roasters up there.
How would they run compared the newer MP two piece cross ram Bob? Care to share some info on past engine builds using those intakes? Thanks Bob
Bob, back then we were happy running low tens and a occasional high nines. The knowledge, techonology and parts back then limited the performance. The performance levels then and now are hardly comparable. The tunnel rams always showed gains over the X-Rams and even today the X-rams need a lot of modifications to be competitive. We are working on a new Mopar X-Ram right now for a project. We will keep you posted on the results.

I have a early 70' intake like you see on the S&M 70' Cuda and Landy car with the top plate. From what I understand from Herb MCcandless and others, they said it was built by the Chrysler enginers but was quickley replaced by a Weiand because the factory intake had no plenum and didn't work with a crap. Can anyone confirm who made the intake? I'll try to post a pic. tomorrow.

Have you ever seen an N.O.S. Weiand Hemi tunnel ram before. Because there's several used aluminum ones, as well as a couple of magnesium ones that show up for sale from time to time, but you hardly ever see any N.O.S. Hemi tunnel rams up for sale!
