Ok this year we had to put on the locking dipstick on .
what i found is that when you change the fluid the fluid doesn't just drain out its air locked .
When i pull the dipstick out it drains freely .
I run a Tbrake so we do have a vent .
Wondered if my sluggish trans was caused by this vacuum.
I pulled the trans out to put a fresh one in .
I,m drilling a small hole below lock rubber seal .

Perhaps your vent is either not big enough or clogged.

One problem with drilling a hole in the dip stick tube is IF they find it i don't think tech would like that it kind of defeats the reason for having a locking dipstick to begin with.

Some vents do not allow enough air flow to allow the fluid to drain freely.Think of it as a drinking straw.Place it in a glass of water and place your thumb over the end, remove the straw from the glass with your thumb still covering the end,the water remains in the straw, slightly uncover the end of the straw and the water will trick out, remove your thumb and the straw will empty instantly.Just remove your dipstick when draining the trans.
