Hi,

I replaced the battery cables with reproductions that are now about 2 years old. I've noticed the positive cable end has discolored. Is there someone who can replace the end with the correct one?

What about hitting some salvage yards and look for original batery terminal ends. You'll probably find some old Chrysler vehicles.

Thanks, But what I would like to find is someone who nlob off the end and put a new, correct end on. I'm pretty sure this is a hot molten type process.

Jurgen

There is a replacable end for the pos cable.
BUT, it's has an allen screw in the bottom of it designed to pinch the cable inside the lead.

The problem I have is the end is open allowing air inside.
Where you have air in electrical connection, you'll have condensation = eventually you'll have corrosion

Maybe try baking soda blasting and then clear coat the outside to prevent future discoloration..
Otherwise, you are stuck with buying a new one or an incorrect looking end...
