stock 383 has no need for a deep pan.

What body ? You could use the hemi 6qt if you really feel you want a bigger pan otherwise just use a stock 402 pan.

Those 7qt pans hang below the K frame, you really don't want to use it you WILL smash it into something .

I have seen it happen. A friend of mine did it on her car.

Milodon 31580

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MIL-31580/

It has 7 trap doors and sits at STOCK depth with 7 quarts.

Some of the insides of that pan...

i put a 7 qt pan on my car when i built the 440 last summer. my car had shorter than stock tires plus the torsion bars were set pretty low - i set it to stock ride height and stock height front tires and i've had no issues with the pan hanging down so far. at first it looks scary, but i have a kinda wicked entrance and exit to the parking lot at my apartment and haven't hit. railroad crossings haven't had any effect either.

...and don't forget the pickup that's made for it, if your going that route. I think the 18338 is the Hemi & the 18325 is the wedge. ...and a windage tray. And,...and,...and...

I ran the Moroso pan on my Challenger in my Avatar picture. Even with the wheel stands it never hit. Now using one on an A-body with a Big Block is a whole different story. They will hit and often!

Yes, it is a picture from a post you made. I thought it was from a catalog or ad or something. Didn't know you took the picture. Nice quality picture with white backdrop... Thought it was a professional picture.

FWIW, when the Summit website shows the Big Block Road Race pan, viewers just see the outside of the pan. Well, when you look inside of it you see it's a pretty intricate piece that a lot of time, thought, and experiance goes into.

BTW, All those Milodon designed pans are made right here in the USA. Many of the people making those have done so for 20 plus years. I got a quick look at the Milodon manufacturing plant today. Neat place...But even neater people.
