I have a eldebrock 750 (ele choke) on 440. It tends to flood real easy if it does not fire on the first crank over. The carb set up is the same as the 750 manual choke. Idle screws are one and one half turns out. Can idle screws affect flooding? THANKS DAVE

2 main reasons a carb floods are
1 fuel pressure to high

2 floats are set to high.

I am truckless..

You need to check to make sure the choke butterfly is not being pulled down when cranking. They should never be completely closed, and when the car starts should open up slightly. Its real easy to set an electric choke up to rich at start, try leaning it up by turning the choke adjustment a little CCW. Of course if this thing is burning real rich when running see above

No. Might need less AP squirts when starting. On my 1406 eddy the choke pullof (an internal vacuum piston inside the round black elec choke cover does not open the choke when it starts and the elec choke comes off WAY too fast. I'm OK now but I need to get on it before fall.
