need picture of 71 roadrunner dash emblem! #782487

title says it all. I sent mine to auto instruments to get chromed and 'detailed' but they just sent it back chromed, and since Ive been having a run around with them, I really dont want to send it back. if anyone can provide a good close up shot of an original dash emblem, thatd be great! thanks!

Type in "Road Runner dash emblem" on e-bay and their are currently two reproductions available .
Those pics should tell you what you need to know
as far as the color scheme, OR , save some time and just buy one of the repros.

I have a few nos ones. They are chromed only on the the letters "ROAD RUNNER". Rest is black and the bird head is painted accordingly....If you need a pic I can get one later this evening...Most originals have all the chrome lettering washed off..

thanks! that's all I should need to know. I imagine just paint the whole thing black and wipe off the letters and go from there?

I think the letters are silver ,, not chromed??

1972 Road Runner / GTX 440 4spd Dana 3.54 Just about to turn 26K original miles..

E-mail the seller to see if the emblem has two or three pins on the back. If my memory is correct, the 71-72's have a three pin on the back of the emblem. Also, if you dont have them, see if this one I posted have little clips in the pins. The "clips" or fasteners hold the emblem in the dash. Just a heads up.

Just look at the pic in the auction. It is a 3 pin which is correct for 71-4 RR.

I have posted 2 pics of the different NOS RR dash emblems. I know that seller and it won't be cheap. The 2 pin is often sold as 71-4 but is not right it's for the later model RR....

Another Pic of the backs showing the pins...If it's NOS it should have the barrel clips on it....I have had a few of these over the years and still do. They ALL had the clips outta the package....

Yes that is 75 RR for sure. I don't think they used them on the Volare type Runners 76-up but that 2 pin is for the 75 Fury based RR....
