Whats a good book to read on rebuilding a small block 360. I want to freshen one up, and dont know exactly how to build short block. It is an LA engine

When I built my first engine I bought a copy of "How to Rebuild Small Block Mopar Engines" Still have it and refer to it often.

I think there was either an older version or maybe a how to rebuild big blocks version that was full of errors. But this looks like the same edition I have and I never noticed any glaring mistakes in it.

i used the same book to rebuild my 318, its a great source of info.

Thats what I learned with, I also like "How to Hot Rod Small Block Mopars" think thats the name. Really not much too it, just take you time, clean everything, and follow the specs for bolts, clearences, gaps, and you"ll be fine.

The one on the left. EDIT the one w errors was reportedly the BB one. this one is accurate and I still refer back to it's basics regularly. Dont know if it's the same one in the Amazon site w a different cover but it is worth acquiring
