Howdy, folks!

I have a '73 B-body that came with a 318/904 combination, which is long gone. I have a 360/727 combo and also a 400/727 available to me, and I am getting ready to put one of them in the car. If I go with the 400 motor, I realize that I'll have to get some swap mounts from Schumaker for the engine, but what I am curious about is the transmission. Do I need a different crossmember for either of these? I also remember that the car had a big steel "spacer" at the trans mount when I took it out, will this be different for the 727 (small or big block)? I really appreciate any info that anyone might have out there on this. Thanks!

trans mount is in the same location for a 904 , 727 and the 833 . the driveshaft is longer for the 904 , same length for a 727 or the 833
