I have hyperuetetic pistons and i was wondering do i have to use file to fit rings are where can i purchase rings for this. thank you

I have always used standard rings and file to fit them. with file to fit ring with Hyper pistons, you end up doing a lot of unnessary fileing and wasted money.

generally file fit rings are not needed w hypers as they require a healthy top ring gap (.0065") per inch of bore for street normally aspirated iirc and normal 2nd ring gaps. I like .003" per inch on 2nd rings but alot prefer looser. File fit rings are expensive & dont waste your funds if you dont have to. Mancini has them

so if i just get normal rings i will still need to file them or dont have too? is basically what im getting at thanks
