Try Schumacher's or Imperisl Services for conversion mounts.

You'll have to use an electric fan, no room for a conventional fan in a V8 Gen. I Dakota. The '89 & '90 Shelby Dak's used electric fans for this reason.

Just did the exact swap. Schumakers is a great source of parts and info. I am currently running the stock fuel pump with a return pressure regulator. One wire alt made a big difference. I bought a set of headers off e-bay. Buy the conversion install kit.It comes with adaptor plates that bolt in, motor mounts and the tranny mount adaptor. Well worth the money. You will need an oil pan off of a 1990 Dakota with a 318. I found mine at car-part.com for $50. Mine was a 4 banger and the exhaust was a [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean]. Had to shim the engine up 1/2 inch to clear the flange to the frame. You will have to buy a pusher fan for cooling and get an old style water pump to clear the radiator. Mine came off a 68' teen. Problem was the bottom is on the drivers side. Block off the fuel pump area if using the pump in the tank. I just wired mine to the key switch. Always on when key is on. I used a 727 trans and bought cooler lines for a 72 A-body. Had to shorten a little but they work great. Stock heavy radiator. If you run a mechanical gauge use copper tubing. The heat made my plastic split 2 times. Both at the block. If you have any questions e-mail me.
