I just bought 2 breathers but got the kind that will have a hose running from them....the kind that have a filter drip oil everywhere....

I've got a breather with the hose attachment. I simply pointed the outlet at the header a couple inches away. The header has some smudgies on it but any blow by is quickly dissipated.
