Shouldn't the 340 in my Demon be painted orange? Just wondering b/c I see there is one on ebay right now and the motor is blue in it.
Does it depend on the build date? Mine has a scheduled build date of January 28th.

 it changed in mid-March '71 from orange to blue for 340 auto 'Cudas. The date for Hamtramck built 340 auto 'Cudas is well researched, but there will be a different date for manual transmission cars and A-body or B-body vehicles built at other plants. Your January '71 Demon makes it simple - ORANGE!

I had a 71 340 4 spped 'cuda and it's engine was blue, but then again SPD was near the very end. The VIN was BS23H1B448xxx
