I have a three wire altrernator in my car, can I run the heavy wire to the solenoid I have in the trunk and run it back to the front of the car and reconnect? Or is there a better way without rewiring my whole car for a one wire alternator? Thanks Dennis

You run the main heavy (and since its a long way I suggest #6 or # 4 wire straight to the battery + then though the cut off switch back to the battery and on to the starter solenoid. some put other stuff in the mix??

Leave the alternator wired up like it is supposed to be. run a field wire to the kill switch,or solenoid. Then run it back to thes alt.
