I have a 2002 Susuki 50 JR for a pit bike and I guess my fat butt was a little to much for the rear spokes So no problem I'll just buy some new ones-wrong can't get them any more because of high lead content in the spokes Any ideas Does someone have one out there for parts I could buy?

yea they discoed a ton of jr parts. Whatever you do dont break your throttle tube! no one makes an aftermarket one and suzuki is no longer making them!!!

I would call up Rad MFG and see if they can get you some spokes. They should be similar to a crf 50. if not ebay...but those bikes are HOT for parts now from that lead bs

Thanks guys, I went to a yard sale and bought a small wheel to use for parts. It came out good if I say so myself. But will still be looking for the the spokes or wheel that I need

Truing stand and spoke torque wrench ?
I have both and only do my bikes .......... a job much easier now that I only have 5 bikes with spokes.
Still a never ending task with nephews who have never met a tree they felt the need to go around.
And it's my own dang fault for buying kid bikes so they could ride with me...........all my buddies are on quads.
I just don't need training wheels yet.
But you obviously have an adventurer's spirit if you are willing to re-lace a wheel.
It isn't for everyone.

Just paid $300 for mine and it's a 2002 plus 5 bucks and a hour of my time. It passed the two beer test today, time for some advanced testing on my days off

The thing about " kid " bikes is that they rarely hit the market and hold their value extremely well.
I bought a new Yamaha PW 80 in 1998 for my oldest nephew to learn on.
After seven years , five nephews and countless neighborhood kids learning to ride on it and much trail riding , I sold it.
It was a little rough looking by that point , but my 1,100.00 toy still fetched 800.00 and the guy was glad to pay it.
That little turd is probably still running today.
Can't say the same for the XR 100 that replaced it , but I will eventually get that one running again.
It got over revved.........valve into piston and a long push home.
But I have had it bored , new valves and timing chain.........and valve springs
It is amazing much abuse they can take and how they hold their price.
I never gave it much thought , but if the 100 or the Yamaha TTR 125 L are still in the stable , I will be pit bike rich.
And they are a lot more practical than the Husqvarna 260 WXE , TE 410 or Honda XR 600 for track side use.

Sounds like you have some heavy metal there. In a time where more and bigger is the trend I thought it would be cool and turn some heads to see my fat butt on that little bike. Now if I can keep from getting run over by someone in a quad or golf cart I'll be fine.

Ain't that the truth.
I am getting set to return after a long absence and the one trend I see is that the money just keeps going and going.
I had a nice car with an open trailer and fit right in at any track I went to.
Fast forward ten or so years...............enclosed trailers worth more than some of the cars.........golf carts...........motorhomes to drag them around.
I am going to look like the Joad's on their way to California when I show up.
But I can live with quick and consistent , at the expense of comfort.
The shame of having to park on the other side of the tracks might be a burden though.
