Man, I'd hate to see what you guys use to trap mice! It ain't that hard - its just an itty-bitty rubber grommet !!! Floor jack ... cut-off wheel ... you gotta be kidding !!!
I kid you not.........I put a shaft thru the pushrod hole & the m/c was vertical pointing down. I hammered on the mtg. face of the m/c so hard that I broke the mtg. ears off the m/c. The sucker "ain't" coming out...LOL!!...with normal methods.

How in the heck do you get the Brake Pushrod out of a Manual Brake Master Cylinder??????. I know the pushrod is held in with that tiny rubber bushing & thought maybe a few taps on the master cyl. with a hammer while holding the pushrod would've done it, but I've destroyed my old cast iron master cylinder (CAST IRON CHUNKS EVERYWHERE) beating the daylights out of the master, to pop the pushrod out of the back of it & the rod won't come out.
WHAT AM I NOT DOING CORRECTLY???? Please advise!!!!
Thanx!!
Yes it's a bear. I put the push rod in a vice, tightened it down, put the legs in a wide stance and pulled on the MC HARD. It tool a couple of pops but it came out without smoking the casting.
