Tore engine down, had mains turned .010, and align honed and put back together with same rear main seal. Primed engine on stand,(80 psi)& rear seal leaks, not the sides,just the seal. doesn't leak immediatley maybe a minute after i stop priming it, it will start dripping. I'm using a standard seal from Mancini Racing&10w-30 conventional oil.The seal is installed correctly, the lip facing inward. Could it be from having it align honed?? PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure. ..... Now its a door stop....

Dodgem master Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 5,746 Ontario, Canada	I had a stock rear main seal retainer in last year that would start leaking after a couple minutes. put a billit retainer in and problem gone. figure the old stock one was warped and warping worese? Re freshed the motor this spring and still no problems using just a stock mopar seal in it and I shift 76 to 7800. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/rearmainbear.html

You are ASSuMEing alot in that statement , which is pretty much standard operating procedure for a source
