I am looking for a good shop to have my leaf springs moved inboard. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Western kentucky would be alright also.

From your screen name I assume A body?

If your willing to come up as far north as Champaign, I can find two places to get it done for ya.

Thanks for the reply but I was hoping to find something closer. Yes it is a A-body.

Would you consider the St. Louis area at all? There is one guy in particular about 30 minutes west of downtown that is very meticulous and has boat loads of fabrication skills.

Mike Larabell @ M&B Hot Rods. He works out of his home shop off of Hwy 109 and Hwy 44. He does not advertise...just works off of referrals and word of mouth. I don't have his business card on me, but should have it at home.

He cut his teeth at Jerry Haas and Bickel's shops if I remember correctly. An excellent welder to boot. He does chassis tuning for a lot of the 10" tire guys and can handle just about anything from subframe connectors to Pro-Mod style chassis fabrication. He will most likely not mention it, but he has excellent body work and paint skills as well.

I believe he usually has a backlog, but can squeak in small jobs like spring relocation between the larger projects.

Just my

I know a guy in West Frankfort who is excellent with metal. Not a chassis guy, but can do this job for sure. He is doing the metal work on my Hemi Dart project. PM me if interested in his number.

Troy is VERY good......at restorations. This job is a far cry from a resto. Troy's shop may not be the best one for this particular job. And would probably be higher than a lot of other fabricators for this.
