69runner OP enthusiast 6 Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 338 Lafayette,Tennessee	Looking at a 74 Imperial with a 440/727 combo and wandering what rear this car would have. The owner says it has rear disk brakes but I didn't get a very good look when I stopped because it's sits really low with flat tires. Does anybody know?

Does anybody know if the disc setup would work on an 8 3/4? or would the 9 1/4 fit under a 69 roadrunner or would it need cut? Just thinking out loud here. Would be a cheap way to have front and rear discs.

They're expensive to maintain and far more trouble than they're worth. Pretend you never heard of them and move on with your life. Commando1 master Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 9,336 South-Central (Sebring), FL	It is a 9.25 Chrysler rear, shared with a lot of Jeeps, , 2.71 gears most likely, and disc brakes WERE available. Rear disk brakes parts are approaching, but not quite yet, unobtainium. Die hard New Yorker and Imperial guys ARE looking for the disc brake setup but will not give you big money for it. The bolt pattern was standardized to 5 X 4.5 in '74.
