I have a 96 Jeep Grand Chr. I just got not long ago & the Power Windows have Power all the time, so douse the cd player & the steering wheel well not lock & I don't think it should be like that.

So do you guys think they would have rewired the key switch?

I don,t see nothing jumped, The power windows are also draning the battrey over night, because you take the fuse out under the hood that gos to the windows, the battrey don't go dead!

Since all the power accessories work, and the wheel won't lock, my guess would be in the ignition cylinder and linkage to the switch. Sounds like the switch is staying in the accessory position...

I agree with the diagnosis that the ignition switch is staying in the accessory position. I have a 96 Grand Cherokee and everything except the power door locks go off when the key is off/in lock position/ removed !

took the the key switch out & un pluged it, hooked the battrey back up & it steel has power on the door wendows, did find a ground wire un hooked behind glove box, so I boted it down with another ground, but that did not change nothing! Had front door panels off, it all look stock, under the steering wheel looks stock, dont look like its been rewired! I'm stumped???
