I looked at a used Liberty the other day. I believe it was a 2003 model.

3.7L v6, with automatic transmission.

Vehicle ran and drove fine, except for the shifter on the transmission. You could shift into and out of any gear without pressing the button on the shifter or the brake pedal. Straight through drive, neutral and into reverse or park if you wanted, and didn't require pressing the brake to get out of park.


Is this a common problem? An easy fix?
