Strange products came from offenhauser. That being said I will one day build a 360 using this with 2 eddy 500s.

Hey, I like those! Especially in the 440 flavor... Get you some "antlers" and make you a riggy crossram!
I'm 55 now, no time to waste. Not a week goes by that I don't hear about someone passing on.Let's get out there, smoke some tires, have a beer with a good friend,do what you have always wanted to do.I am pretty sure no one will ever say on their deathbed "gee I'm glad my life was calm and boring"

The "Dual port" was supposed to be strictly for fuel economy. The fact that the other manufactures did not jump in and copy the design states how well it worked. When the secondaries kicked in that mixture was delivered via the top portion of the manifold. This top portion was supposed to be cooler and more dense being farther away from the heat. In my opinion Offy made great racing engines (1930s-1960s?) but their street manifolds are inferior to Edelbrock, Weiand and Holly. The one line of intakes Offy made that were and are still excellent performers is their Port-O-Sonic series. Ironically with this manifold Offy deviated away from their traditional single plane wide open/split plenum design and went with a very familiar smaller plenum with longer runners- just like a Victor, Strip Dominator, Torker ect. Those things you could buy from offy to bolt to a dual quad intake to make a supposed cross ram- I think a cross ram in appearance only. I cant imagine it working very well. That being said I bought my above dual quad manifold new in 2004 from Summit. It was cast in 02. I LOVE underhood dual quads cuz it harkens back to a time where it was mandatory to switch to dual carbs to go faster! (409 chevy, 426 hemi, 413 wedge, 283 chevy) The intake I have is actually intended for a 273-318. It is a single plane though. I know an RPM or Stealth and a single carb would make more and better power but I love the look and I was even told by an old timer Edelbrock tech that the intake I have works very well on a hot street engine. Eddy used to make their D66 dual quad intake- for mopar 273-318 when they come up on the bay they are crazy expensive.

Hey BossRide- I will sell you MY intake for just..................................3 EEEEEASY payments of $199.99! I believe they are still available new thru summit. I paid $240 back in 2004. I think the lower profile model that I have is a bit above $300 now. Offy made 2 models. The exact same manifold but the difference was the height of the carb mounting pads. Thus their term high rise and low rise. My manifold is the low rise. I wish Eddy would tool up (cast up) and make a dual carb dual plane manifold for 340-360 heads.
