You might get yours to work if you clean up the contacts. Or you can make a jumper and just have the dash at full power at the time when the lights are on.

I want my fair share

Corey,

I have seen the repop 70 version B body dash dimmer switches and I don't have a lot of faith in them. The one I saw still in its plastic bag had the resistor coil already coming out of the tray at one side and the thumb wheel looked more like nickle than chrome.

I am in the process of experimenting with restoring the 68 - 69 versions and hope to have them available in the fall. For now, I would recommend bypassing as previously stated and save the money.

I need to replace my dimmer switch as well but would like to try bypassing it first to make sure all my dash lights are working properly. Can anyone share details on how to baypass the switch?
Thanks!

Make a short 2" jumper cable with two crimped on male spade lugs. Any auto parts store will have them the size of your circuit board spade lugs. On the circuit board you will see the letters D, R, and I from left to right. On the socket end, insert one side of the jumper into the I side of the socket and the other side into the R middle of the socket.

You don't really need the "Dimmer" function,
on the back of the switch you'll see: "I" instrument and "R" Rheostat, solder a wire bridgeing the two, now you'll have full lighting to the cluster, don't solder anything to the "D" prong, that's for the Dome light.
