i picked up a od 4 speed trans.it's the 1970 and up with 2 shifter mounting tabs the shifter is hooked up on the foward location,it was in a 1970 road runner,will this fit in my f-body car?

I believe that fits a B or E body only. The A and F body manual transmissions are the same.

That transmissions was likely out of a 70's/80's dodge van or 2wd truck originally, which used the same transmission length as the B/E body cars. A/F body used a shorter tail shaft. With some modding you can put a b/e trans in an a/f body.
