Changing plugs on my sisters 96 Durango 5.9 and the ground strap and porcelin on the old plugs are bone white. Is this normal or do i have a problem? Old plugs are champion RC12LC4. Thanks.

If they all have the same look, and it seemed to be running good, it's probably okay.

If it runs fine just put a new set of plugs in it and be happy. I replace a lot of plugs at work and a lot of time they are just different colors, one may have a tad more injector flow, one cylinder may have a loos fiting valve stem seal or a scratch in the cylinder wall... no biggie if everything else is fine. Lots of weird looking deposits from fuel adatives too, usually on all the plugs though.

It runs good but has a intermittent hesitation and the engine light is doing tricks. Gonna change the wires next, thanks.
