Does anyone know when the switch over date was? I always thought the slide in was 70 and REAL early 71's.... anyone know?
There is no known switch over date, but your assumptions are correct, slip in bayonet style was used thrugh 1970 into early 1971.

So it's safe to assume that an April 71 build car, would have the bolt in style, correct?
