I cannot seem to figure this issue out, nor can anyone else I know so maybe someone on here has gone through this at some point with their 4 speed?

Basically, when I push the clutch in or let it out, the transmission grinds. At first, we thought the throwout bearing had gone out - we replaced it and still no fix, still grinds. It is a high performance clutch so with the bigger springs, I was told there needs to be a 2' clearance on the throw of the clutch pedal for when it engages because of the bigger then stock springs. I made it to where you've gotta push the clutch further in, still nothing. It use to mainly do it in reverse and first gear (only when you use the clutch) and now it's second and third gear.

Any ideas??

I'd start by simply lengthening the linkage to make more disc clearance when you push the pedal down & see if that quiets it & go from there

Are you talking about adjusting the clutch rod further out so you have to push the clutch pedal in further in order for it to engage?

the other way, less free play so it moves the throwout bearing further when you press the pedal. EDIT w more thought maybe I have it backwards! Meaning to say lengthen it so there's more disc to flywheel clearance w the pedal pushed down
