Does anyone know the rear back spacing on a 1968 dodge charger.and the biggest tire I can get under without a rub Thanks

i had a 15x8 prostar 4.5 bs with 29.5 10.5 with no problems on 69 charger. hope it helps

I think you can get away w/ at least a 5" backspace. You can get a ton of tire under these cars w/o tubbing or jacking them up.

i have 15x10 with 5 backspace 295-50-15 tires on my 68 charger.fits perfect.you can even go 325-50-15.

I've got 17 x 10's with a 5 inch backspace. The tires are 295/45R17's. The tires appear to clear with nearly an inch on the inside and outside of the tire.

I used to run a 16x8" wheel with 4.5" bs with a 295/50 tire on my 68 charger. fit perfect. I can send you pics, I took some closeups to show clearance to leafsprings/wheel lips. now I run 18x9.5 with 5.5" backspace. it's a hair more to the "inside" than I like. If I could have afforded custom wheels, I'd have gone 10" wide with 5" backspace.
