hi. im trying to sort out this issue with replacing steering columns in my gran coupe.

old column--70 318 gran coupe power steer
new column--70 aar cuda power steering

its a power steering car. my q is

"why would there be a difference in inside diameter of the splined "hook up" between box and coupler between the two columns??"

--does an aar fast ratio power steering box have a larger spline diameter for the steering coupler than a gran coupe 318 power steering box coupler??

one coupler i.d. is small (318 gran coupe power steer car) and one is larger (aar power steering car). both on 70 barracuda floor shift columns and power steering.. does a manual steer car have the bigger inside diameter at the coupler or does teh aar fast ratio box have a bigger spline?? .

thanks moparts!!
